New Maytag MAH22 High-Efficiency Front-Load Washer

Maytag® recently introduced its next generation Energy Advantage™ washer featuring greater water efficiency, larger tub capacity, Smart Logic for effective yet gentle cleaning and the long-term dependability that only a Maytag can deliver.

The new Energy Advantage™ High-Efficiency Front-Load washer uses only 13 gallons of water per cycle, which is 77 percent less than an average top-loader!

The Energy Advantage front-loader is the first CEE (Consortium for Energy Efficiency) Tier III rated washer. CEE tiers are determined by the MEF (Modified Energy Factor) and WF (Water Factor) of a machine. The MEF number is determined by considering the remaining moisture content in washed items and the amount of energy required by the dryer to remove the moisture. The MEF number, in this case 2.35, indicates how many cubic feet of laundry can be done using one kWh of electricity. The higher the MEF number, the more efficient the washer.

The Water Factor measures the number of gallons per cycle, per cubic foot that the machine requires to clean effectively. The lower the WF, the more efficient the machine is. The new Energy Advantage Front-Loader has a WF of 4.4, which meets the criteria for an Energy Star® rating as well as the strict CEE Tier III standards.
